Brilliant Little Film, Highly Recommended.
I don't know why they called in Haunted House in the US(In the UK it's called The Blake Murder Mystery), not that it matters. The film is sweet, charming, fast paced and funny. With moment of real excitement and a lovely, funny ending. It's a great Saturday night family flick.
The acting is great for it's time, especially the lead players (Marcia Mae Jones and Jackie Moran). The little cousin is a kick too.
I think anyone who appreciates the innocent, gentle and simple ways of the past will appreciate this. It also makes a great family movie (younger kids will need some help keeping up, as I said, it's fast paced). I'm definitely archiving this one on DVD for the future.
It also shows what potential Hollywood had in the past and what it's lost today.
